VHS to DVD Transfer

Why Transfer VHS to DVD?

A VHS cassette tape can last up to 20 years, but image and sound quality will begin to degenerate after as few as 5 years. Tapes can wear out and break, and dusty VHS players help to ruin them.

A DVD (digital video disk) will last much longer, and image and sound quality will remain consistent. Transferring home videos from VHS to DVD can save priceless memories from being lost. Our studio creates DVD-R and DVD+R disks. (Many newer DVD players play both types of disks; DVD-R is most common. See your DVD player manual for details.)

Preserving Your VHS Tapes

Starry Elf Studios can transfer 66 minutes of VHS tape onto one DVD with 100% of the original VHS quality. Multiple VHS tapes can be combined onto a single DVD. We can even create extra copies to share with friends and family.
